Good morning from this beautiful, Hideaway Ponds, resort park. Bob and I live in a truely luxurious place, shaded by giant oaks. We can take a leisurely swim in the indoor heated pool, soak in the hot tub, dip in the beautiful outdoor pool or just bask in the sun. Others go fishing in the ponds that border the eastern and southern periphery. Last evening we played cards in the clubhouse with our friends. It is definitely a retiree's dream, come true.

Here is scripture from the old testament. Moses had led the Jewish nation, God's chosen people, out of slavery and toward the Promised Land. He gave Moses the ten commandments on Mount Sinai. This is 4th commandment in Deuteronomy 5:11, from the NIV: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. And in the 6th chapter and the 5th verse it reads: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Blessings to you all

I am looking forward to reading your blog!

This sounds so wonderful to go on the road and preach the Word to others.

What kind of cards do you play? I love card games. My boy's are big card players.

Hi Lori,

Thank you for visiting my site.

Bob & I are going to be here at Hideaway ponds from now on. We are raising money to build a chapel, as at this time we have to hold services in the club-house and it can be real noisy.

We play mostly Hand and Foot but sometimes thirty-one.

God bless.

Patricia

How can I buy the books you have written? I'll email you more about my husband later, but to answer your question my husband did have surgery to remove the tumor. They could remove all of it because it was wrapped around the Pituitary Gland. It grew back in 2 years. He is now on strong medication to keep it from growing. The tumor is at the center of the brain.

Hi Patricia,

Thank you for visiting my blog yesterday. I appreciated your kind comments. Interesting how just a few words can bring so much joy (or sorrow) into a person's life. Yesterday's was joy!

The Lord works in mighty ways. You are the first person to "visit" my thread that I did not know and you are a Christian! :) That was exciting for me.

As an adult, I used to only read Christian books, but ventured into secular literacy about 5 years ago. As you may know (from my blog), I am on an A ~ Z reading schedule and I pretty much have them booked up. However, due to our meeting, I will check out your books as soon as I get an opportunity.

Thanks for stopping by and may the Lord bless you real good! :)

Joy,

I am thrilled that someone of your intellect will take time to read my books. My first on, For the Love Joy was poorly edited, and the publisher over priced it. I didn't know the 'ropes' so I was embarrassed by it. However they gave me a start and that is something to be greatful for. I am proud of Mercy Triumphs. I will be anxious to see what you think. Since I have written 4 more books, my editor says that I have improved in my writing skills a lot. I hope so. I want to keep on improving. All the money from the books goes to the ministry. My father in heaven is the one I want to please most of all. And I will give him all the glory.

Thank you again.

Blessings,

Patricia

I almost feel like I am there on the bank of the pond watching my middle son fish. He loves to fish. I commented on your blog a few days ago but neglected to mention that I am a great fan of mystery writing. Before I was a Christian I read Stephen King all the time, after I had my first child and became a "stay-at-home" Mommy, I began reading Mary Higgins Clark. Since I became a Christian I try to read only Christian based writing. I would love to sample your mystery novels, where can I get them? Melissa

Powerhouse Youth Center,

Thank you for your nice comments.

This is truely a beautiful place to live. My husband I are both retired. Bob worked for Hanford atomic energy plant in Washington state and I was a nurse and retired in 1997. So, although we are busy with the ministry, it is still a much slower pace then what we were use to.

You can order my books from your local book store or from Amazon. Mercy Triumphs can also be ordered from my publisher, airleaf.com. If you use the ISBN #s it might be easier. For the Love of Joy's # is 1-58851-864-7 and Mercy Triumphs is 1-59453-495-0.

Thank you so much for your interest.

God bless,

Patricia
