Good afternoon to all of you. It's one of those beautiful days at Hideaway Ponds. As I look out my window, I can see two of the cabins that are used by visitors. They are cute little structures that are a copy of the cabins that the swamp people use to live in, of yesteryear but with modern conveniences. Those early Cajuns, were a hardly breed, living off the land. Most of the men were trappers.

For some reason I got to thinking about forgiveness and how hard that is, sometimes. Someone will hurt us badly, maybe someone we love and the wound cuts us deeply. In my case I learned that I had to talk to the person and 'get it off my chest', then forgiveness came easy. Other times I forgave without confrontation. However it works, forgiveness is necessary for us as Christians, and no-Christians alike, to have peace of mind. Matthew 6:14-15 "If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But is you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

I like that name, "Hideaway Ponds". It has a Thoreau kind of feel to it. Thank you for visiting my blog. I read the Green Meadow books, Bobsey Twins, Nancy Drew as did my girls. We inherited a LOT of books from my Mother-in-law who is an avid reader. I kept most all of them. I think a lot of the old books still have a lot to offer kids today. For one thing they prove you can have good entertainment without all the profanity and sex that can even be found in teen books today.

I like your blog. That verse in Matthew is so true. It can be so hard to forgive sometimes. Are your books anything like Mary Higgins Clark? I just started reading her a couple of months ago and I am addicted. They are great. I will be back to visit!

thank you for visiting.
but i don't uptade often for lack of photos and because of uselessness of my words for i think everything i want to say has been said already, but then i don't have recent photos to upload for i don't have time to go out, so it comes out slow.
but when i read a little of your blog, i realized who commented.
Definately don't deserve your comment, because my blog is nothing to what you write.
But on forgiveness. ... it's real hard to do. only God helps.
God bless you.

Thank you for your kind words, Amy.

Yes, my books are similar to Mary Higgins Clark's. I met her, in 94 at a writer's conference, in New Orleans. She is sweet and approachable. Her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark, was also there. She writes too. The books that she had there, at that time, were one word titles like, Decked and Snagged. I think they were sprinkled with humor. I have always meant to read her books also but I haven't done so yet.

Blessings to you and yours,

Patricia
